Mold spores are can be found easily in our homes, scattered in many surfaces, clothes and indoor air. On small amount, this condition is quite normal and often happens every day. Usually, most of those spores are entering our homes from outside environment.

In large amount, the spores will jeopardize the health of people who live in the house. Therefore, cleaning the house regularly is a must thing to do. People need to clean any area where the molds are staying to prevent the mold from multiplying and keep the indoor environment healthy.

People need to be cautious if there is large amount of molds growing in some areas in their homes. This condition usually occurs when the humidity level on the area where the mold grew is increase more than in normal condition which is caused by water leak or flood.

When the mold grows, they are releasing their spores in the air. The airborne spore will spread to other areas in your homes. If this condition is not being taken care of properly, the mold will damage the house and its furnishing.

The home structural elements will get weaken and finally damage by the mold if home owner do not control the mold level in their home and let it grow uncontrolled. There are no certain methods to remove all the molds from inside our homes, but proper cleaning that is performed regularly will help to control the mold’s growth to the minimum level and avoid the damage in the house.

Structural damage to your property and any items inside of it is not the only threat from the existence of molds in the house. The health of people who are live in the house is also at risk.

Normally we are been exposed by molds and or its spores every day. But, it is only in a small amount, so our body resistance can still fight the molds without any bad side effects, although for sensitive person, they can get sick even with small amount of mold exposure.

There are some methods to help home owners to control the mold growth in their home and keep it to the minimum level;

Install proper ventilation in the bathroom and other areas where the moisture level are high to the outside of the house.

Check the AC ventilation regularly to make sure that it did not clogged or blocked by dirt or other foreign materials.

Use de-humidifiers appliance in crawlspaces like in the closet, attic and basements.

Install an exhaust fans in the kitchen and use it when cooking.

Apply insulation on the surface of cold objects such as air ducts or water pipes to reduce the risk of condensation

Use moisture sensor to detect the increase of humidity in some areas where there are risk of water leak
